Introduction to the Student Union

The Dudley College Student Union is an association of Dudley college students. It exists to follow these objectives:
  • To advance the education of it's members
  • To promote the general welfare of its members.
  • To encourage societies, sports and social activities organised by its members.
  • To act as a channel of communication between the students and the college and its bodies

The Student Union is made up of all Dudley College students who didn't specifically state during enrollment that they didn't want to be members of the Union.

The Student Union is a centralised organisation which includes all Dudley College students, meaning students studying at the secondary campuses are included as well.

The Student Union maintains an office at the major campuses of Broadway, Mon's Hill and Rowley Regis. The central office is the Broadway Student Union Office.

The Student Union is run by the Executive Committee of the Student Union which is a committee of students who are elected every year for a one year term in office.

Any member of the Union can stand for a position on the Executive when the elections are held in the first month of the academic year.

The Student Union Executive is assisted by the Student Union Liaison Officer who is appointed by the Principal to help the Student Union arrange events and advice the Executive on college policy.
